Scientific Startup in Dermatology

 The Italimaging Startup is actually envolved into artificial vision and Patient's database
development in Dermatology. Based in Toscany, Italy, the Italimaging staff it is mainly
composed by biomedical engineers. The Society efforts are mainly oriented into the
early detection of melanoma by epiluminescence (dermatoscopy or dermoscopy).

Our products range from the Software developmentent for the daily management of the
pigmented skin lesions up to the aided diagnosis of melanoma by pattern analysis.

In the last years we developed both stand-alone software and integrated systems able
to interface the most common dermatoscopic adapters and videodermoscopes.
Our software adopt proper methods able to obtain very high image quality starting
from dermoscopes like Heine Delta20, 3Gen, Dinolite, Mic-Fi and other similar.

The dermoscopic software is based on a 30 years experience into dermatological
research and pigmented skin lesions management.

Special modules, like real time aided diagnosis, for oem industries are available.



Self installing DDAVL-HD software

The DDAVL-HD software package offers an easy and professional tool for the management of pigmented
lesions. The software, patented as a Class I medical device, comes from 30 years of scientific experience
in the database development of Patients and skin deseases. Throgh exaustive forms the smart database
permits to easily fill the patients data and history visually associating both the total body photos and the
observed dermatoscopic images.

The Real Time Aided Diagnosis module it is actually the only one able to work during the observation of
the live image up to a frame rate of 60 frames/second. Every time a lesion is grabbed then also the
objective evaluations are saved together with the belonging image.

The DDAVL Software is a Class I medical device and interfaces the most common videodermoscopes and
digital dermoscopy adapters like Heine Delta20, I-Phone and 3Gen, Mic-Fi HD, DinoLite HD. Installs in few minutes and transforms Your PC or Notebook into a powerful dermoscopic System.

Software Validation and Reliability

The DDAVL Software represents the evolution of the DB-Mips software by Burroni-Dell'Eva reported by 

several scientific studies into the matherials and methods session. The starting point plays over the 

unambiguous engineered definition of the pattern analysis since 1993. The development of methods

and algorithms oriented to the artificial intelligence into the early melanoma detection has been 

evolved through a path involving both the daily practice and the advanced research into the differential

diagnosis of the cutaneous deseases, their follow-up and their objective definitions.

Several scientific studies are actually reported into the literature. The most complete study

has been done through a blind multicenter study involving thousands of lesions in 4 years of daily

practice indicating a very high accuracy without any human interaction.
